Our high in demand ‘Education and Training’ courses are an essential for any learners who are interested in becoming a teacher. These courses can be completed one after each other to gain a lot of knowledge and experience in teaching. Every level entails a different path for teaching, below is a guide to show which course is ideal for certain types of learner:
- Level 3 Award in Education and Training (RQF) – This course is ideal for learners with no previous experience or official qualification. This course can be used to decide whether teaching is a potential career path and can be used to gain higher qualifications to be able to teach a specialist subject.
- Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (RQF) – This course expands upon the Level 3 Award in Education and Training. This course requires the learner to be in a voluntary or paid role where they can be observed. This course is ideal for teachers who are teaching pre-made lessons or want to complete the Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training.
- Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training (RQF) – This course allows learners to apply for a QTLS status. The Level 5 expands upon the Level 4 and develops the learner’s understanding of certain frameworks, inclusive teaching and the main principles to teaching. A paid or voluntary role is required for this course as observations must be completed.
It is possible to complete all three courses – the recommended order to complete the courses in is: L3AET, L4CET, L5DET. This is the recommended order due to every level advancing the lerner’s skills and understanding. Additionally, all learners who have completed the L4CET will receive Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), meaning they will not need to complete parts of the L5DET course.
